Before forming PLA, Bill was the Chief Legal Officer of DayJet Corporation, an on-demand regional air carrier in Boca Raton, Florida, for nearly three years, a Partner of Holland & Knight in Seattle, Washington, for nearly four years and the Chief Executive of Van Valkenberg Furber Law Group P.L.L.C, a boutique corporate finance and securities law firm that he co-founded in 1995 after practicing 17 years with Bogle & Gates in Seattle. Prior to that, he worked for three years as an Attorney in the Division of Corporation Finance and the Office of the Bank Study at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, DC.
Bill is admitted to practice law in Washington State. He was selected by his peers for listing in Best Lawyers in America (2006); recognized as one of Seattle’s “Ten Best Business Transaction Attorneys” by Seattle Magazine (2003); designated one of Washington State’s “Super Lawyers” by Washington Law & Politics Magazine 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006; rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.
